12/27/2023 0 Comments Ar wing pro rcgroups![]() Mode (I've really never had this issue with any other wing), and iNav's horizon mode is reallyĭumb in some ways as it allows I-term windup to accumulate (no other flight controllerĭoes that in auto-level modes). ![]() Won't sidearm launch without tip stalling in manual Today was first flights with iNav on F405 Wing, and once in the air in Acro mode it flew pretty Full throttle it'd only draw about 20-22A and push the plane to mid 90s mph range. I broke the stock prop today and was forced to fly with the closest I had which was a APC 7圆 What sizes? 2-3 blades? I don't see anything with more pitch than an 8x5. Zip-tie acts like lead weights on a vehicle's wheel's rim. I do feel like it is noticeable faster than it was with its stock 8x5 prop. I still have not been able to determine what is the average speed when drawing 8,5 - 9Amps (50% throttle on my radio determined static/in house), but im guessing is close or around 100kmh, in straight and level flight (of course). which is close to 26 - 28-ish kmh air-speed of which i launch the plane when throwing it with my hand. Props like 8x7 or 8x8 will stall and give way less static thrust, in spite the fact that they will give way more air-speed after the prop stall have cleared.Įven the 8圆 props stalls, but the stall conditions clear-up much earlier (in terms of air-speed) - at around 28 - 32kmh air-speed. Given my permanent wind that is in my area, i need as much air-speed as possible while the Amp draw remains under 10Amps out of a 4S li-ion pack.Ĩ圆 props are the best combination that i've found, the best compromise in terms of static thrust (needed for launching the plane) and air-speed. Prop is GemFan which looks like an APC-E clone, at 8圆 for a bit more air-speed at about the same motor's RPM/Amp draw. I hadn't noticed the zip tie but glad you pointed it out as it has made me notice you're not running the stock prop but what looks like an APC prop. More importantly is to know the pilots habits IMO, when flying thru the area where your RC bird plane to be in the sky, including the emergency response manned aircraft pilot's habits. Along side common sense, one must know the rules and regulations regarding manned aircraft flights in the area where he/she are planning to fly. Please keep posting your videos as I can at least watch with envy!Īs for being safe and not put in danger manned aircraft or people below, common sense helps a lot. The Pro wing will be my first Matek F405 build as nearly all my planes have Kopilot with the odd Guardian 2D/3D, A3 Super 3 and an S6R. My go to plane just happens to be the Nano Talon Evo Black Ops version. I'm also retired but pretty confined to what and where we fly unfortunately due to our laws etc. It's also apparent that you've been at it a long time to accumulate such knowledge. I did think that it might be the case as you often post videos and I can see you following obvious features.
